I would like to see this one with with built in WI-FI 1 of 3 people found the following review helpful  This is cheap junk, By This review is from: Sony BDP-S280 Blu-ray Disc Player (Electronics) I bought this and used it for a little over a month, mostly to watch streaming netflix. The netflix interface and remote were awkward to use. All too frequently the streaming video had to stop and buffer. After I downloaded the first update it quit working almost entirely. At the end of a netflix show my TV would go to blue screen even though the display on the blu-ray showed it as being on. The only way I could get it to connect with my TV was to unplug it and plug it back in after every single show I watched. I called customer support and after twenty minutes on hold I was told they were aware of the problem and they were working on fixing it. I asked if they had a time line as to when the new "fixed" update would be availible and was told "I have no idea."Needless to say I returned it and bought a Samsung and am much more satisfied. No more buffering pauses so I have to beleive that issue was with the Sony player and not my high-speed internet connecton. I'm not... Read more |
