3D HEAVEN WITH THE VP3D1, May 27, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: View Sonic 3D HD Video Processor (VP3D1) (Personal Computers) I just finished watching Avatar in 3D at home after receiving my VP3D1 today. The viewing experience was extraordinary. I had previously went to the theater to watch Avatar in 3D. I had to wait for this unit almost two months but the wait was worth it. Watching the movie on my 10 foot screen at home with my Viewsonic PJD-6531W 3D projector was just as satisfying as being at the movie theater. The setup was super easy and the VP3D1 converter performed flawlessly. Brightness of the picture was not an issue even in eco-mode on the projector. I had a few doubts after reading all of the pluses and minuses on the discussion forums. After viewing my own setup at home I no longer have any misgivings about watching 3D at home. I'm so glad that it looks just great. To me, it's just as good as being at the movie theater. Thank you Viewsonic and Amazon. Seeing is believing and I've seen, so now I believe. I was waiting and waiting for the Optoma 3D-XL to come down in price when I stumbled across this beauty, the VP3D1 processor box. Is much cheaper, comes without glasses but there is a mail in rebate to get a pair of PGD-250 DLP Glasses. I recommend buying a pair of the PGD-250 glasses with this VP3D1 processor box. You can use the mail-in offer ones as your second pair.
I really do love this box. Two HDMI 1.4 inputs, one HDMI 1.3 output to my Acer projector. I connected one input to the PS3 for 3D gaming and the other input to the PC for 3D... Read more

Awsome 3D and a helpful review!!, February 22, 2012 This review is from: View Sonic 3D HD Video Processor (VP3D1) (Personal Computers) I have only owned this a short time but I have to say it has been a purchase well worth the headaches it caused me. I will explain in more detail on issues I had in case someone else runs into any of these problems. I did not purchase it from Amazon but I did purchase it direct from Beach Audio that is selling them through Amazon. I noticed a couple of the reviews on this site also on other sites just copied and pasted so I was not 100% sold on this product. You never know if its a manufactured review plant! But Beach Audio had a 30 day return so I figured I would give it a try. I purchased the unit and two pair of Xpand X103 glasses. These glasses didn't work with my projector and I purchased the Viewsonics that are recommended with this unit. I know I purchased the glasses from the company I am already upset with but I have to say the glasses work very well though the build quality on the Xpands is much more robust!
